The Ladies team made history by finishing on the podium in 3rd place for the Ladies Under 19 European Championships, which was held in Mealhada, Portugal from 3rd – 5th September.

England Under 19’s Ladies Win Bronze

A historical result for our England under 19’s ladies tonight (Saturday) in winning bronze at the Under 19’s 2009 European Championships in Portugal. In their last match of the championships England were victorious over Germany winning 3-2 (3-1 at half time). Congratulations to our girls and very well done.

I am very pleased with the improvement since last year’s European Championships. The team have been very consistent on individual restricted defense although the counter attack is not working as well we would like, due to the other teams pressuring very well as soon we get the ball.
