As some of you may be aware “New Rules” for our sport of Roller Hockey were approved at the CIRH Congress that took place in Japan at the end of last year.
Although they will not be adopted internationally until 2010, we have decided to introduce them for our domestic hockey for next season, commencing September 2009.
The “New Rules” will affect all of us, Referees, Players, Coaches and also Time-keepers.
The NRHA have decided to use the National Training Weekends of the 16/17 May and the 20/21 June for training sessions, which will take place in the upstairs room at Peterborough Sports Centre.
We anticipate that one day will be sufficient, which will provide us with four sessions, enabling as many people as possible to attend.
The training sessions will be overseen by the CERH and we are waiting for confirmation from them of who will be coming to England to help us.
As soon as this confirmation is received we will send out official notification.
We are also planning to use both the Allen Mezzanines Cup and the Lennards Cup as practise of the new rules for all those who wish to take part prior to the start of the domestic season.
This posting is by way of an early notification that this is happening, so that any of you that wish to take advantage of these sessions can put the dates in your diaries.
