Wish to thank, publicly and unreservedly, Keith Allen, President of the NRHA, personally, for his attendance and involvement with the HBU Club’s ‘home’ matches in the European League.
The 3rd and final event at the Pier on Sat night was v FC PORTO, arguably the best Club Team in the world alongside FC Barcelona. The sell-out event was evidence of the support RH has and proof if any was needed that the sport has an enthusiastic following!
Keith travelled from Peterborough on all 3 occasions and acted as the third referee overseeing the ‘sin bin’ rinkside as well as being on the mic announcing the teams. He was also spokesperson to various dignitaries in attendance.
The NRHA 600 Club Draw was also done at the last 2 matches with the winners coming from the local Clubs. Absolutely no fix!!!!
These 3 matches, 50% of the Euro League Competition that HBU, as National Champions last season, were participating in, gave huge publicity to the Club and most importantly raised the profile of Roller Hockey.
Keith’s attendance and support represented his and the NRHA’s backing for the HBU Club’s enterprise.
