England 0 Portugal 12 (half time 0-7)
Very strong Portuguese team pressuring full rink all game made it very difficult for England to retain possession. Our players still showed good man to man restricted defence which was more obvious in the second half. We had a few counter-attacks but we are still not fast enough in moving with and without the ball at this level. However when we managed to counter-attack quicker we created some goal scoring opportunities such as one ball hit the post.

England 25 Ecuador 0 (half time 15-0)
A game where our superiority was evident with a rotation system all outfield players scored goals. The positive thing is that we have asked the players to play 2/3 touches and they have done a very good job. To underline the team play only 3 goals were scored through individual efforts (skills).
Our first objective, 3rd place in the group, has been achieved and now we are looking forward to play Brazil on Thursday, first game of 2nd phase. This game will determine whether we play off for 9th to 12th place or 13th to 16th place.
