The Northern Counties Roller Hockey Season Ended in fine style on June 25th at the Northbridge Leisure Centre, Halifax. Full Results will be posted shortly. Please pass this information around in your Clubs.

The AGM straight after, was a success with all the NCRHA Clubs agreeing to pull together to help develop the Association. Issues were discussed, and initiatives to take the Association forward. Tony and Ian, 2 of the 3 Execs who had served that season (Dave Foth’ was abroad and sent his apols), stressed it had been hard, but with all the leagues completed and a successful and competitive Finals Day, it was the culmination of a good season, despite a few issues along the way. Full Minutes of the AGM will be sent by Lynne Lawson, but here are a few notes.

Also, please see attached a brief document defining the basic roles of each of the Executive positions.

The Executive outlined 6 positions that needed to be filled, to take the Exec forward, and ensure that the 3 Execs from the previous season would have their work progressed, and decisions for NCRHA were made across the membership. Paul Colton of Manchester suggested that the assistance for each role could come from within the Club, where a named assistant was not found. This was agreed.

Assistant : Moss Side / Manchester RHC

These appointments mean EACH NCRHA Club has a hand in the workload. Watch out for more information coming on NCRHA Developments. I am on holiday for 2 weeks from tomorrow, but will then take up my GENSEC role in earnest, wit hthe first point being putting a comprehensive list of contacts/addresses together. Derek – I will include all NCRHA Referees in that also.

Finally – many thanks to all who attended Finals Day and the AGM. Personally I feel very motivated for our Association now, and am looking forward to getting back from my hols and beginning the work for a great new season!
