The NCRHA are this week discussing plans to hold the NCRHA CUP Competition this year.
“We didn’t have a cup last year” said Tony Czifra, “which meant kids and seniors alike were without the buzz and excitement of a cup competition”.
Plans currently being reviewed are for Minors (U13’s) and Intermediates (U15’s) to have Semi-Finals and Finals on the day, with the 6 clubs in Senior Competition to play against each other in 3 way round robins, to decide 2 Finalists for Cup Finals Day.
Also plans being considered for fun on the day are
1 – A Speed Skating Competition between clubs, and a ‘Hardest Shot’ competition with a ’speed measurement’ machine on the rink.
2 – Prizes given for the league top scorers who will receive a ‘golden’ stick’
3 – Fairplay trophy for the club with the least disciplinary points over the season.
4 – NCRHA Referees will also be rewarded for a season of hard work, with 1 being awarded NCRHA Referee Of The Year.
