Yesterday 11th January 2006 died the former Portuguese National team captain after a long illness.
He was a player of exceptional quality and was voted by the people as one of the top 5 Portuguese players of the century.

He got 136 caps,won 5 World Championships and 2 runners-up, won 4 european Championships and 1 runners-up, won 2 Portuguese National Championships, 3 Mozambique Nat ional championships and 2 Latin Cup competitions.

In the recent years he was General secretary of the CIRH
His body in the Church of Estrela in Lisbon and the funeral will be on Friday 13th at 10.00am.
