NCRHA League – Disciplinary Points

January 4th, 2006 · No Comments

NCRHA will this season be introducing a Disciplinary Points tally, where the club with the least disciplinary points, will be awarded the fair play trophy at the end of the season – likely to be at the Regional Cup Finals.

This information is on it’s way in written form to all NCRHA affiliated clubs.

When a player reaches 15 points, he/she is automatically suspended for 1 game.

Points will work as follows :

Yellow Card : 2 point
Blue Card : 5 Points
Red Card : 10 Points

Hence if a player receives a Red Card (indirect or direct) he/she receives 10 points to his disciplinary tally.

If this takes him up to, or over 15 points, a 1 match ban will be imposed (in the event of the red being indirect), or a 2 match ban if it was a Direct Red. This takes into account the Serious Foul and subsequent suspension, and also the accumulation of cards gained for other fouls.

“We are amiming to support the referees and the rules of the game with this ruling” said Tony Czifra, Referees Exec for the NCRHA “as well as cleaning up the game in the North”.
