Rule: Goalkeepers playing on their knees?

November 16th, 2005 · No Comments

The NRHA has received notice from the CERH (European
Federation) that the rules relating to goalkeepers playing on
their knees are to continue to be interpreted as in the past.
Meaning that goalkeepers will not be penalised when not on
their skates prior to a ball being shot.

Director of Officials, Mike Richardson, has advised that previous
instructions to referees to penalise goalkeepers (received from
the CIRH) have been withdrawn with immediate affect.
