The final positions for National Division 1 2004-2005 are in. Congratulations to winners Herne Bay Utd and runners up Maidstone. HBU’s win is, perhaps, some consolation for their runners up position in the Premier league.
HBU were runaway winners, winning 16 or their 18 games, losing only once, in the final tournament at Southsea. And that game was only lost be a single goal.
Runners up spot had the potential to be a much closer affair, with Farnham and Southsea probably regretting the tournaments they missed, resulting in 10 goals against and no points. There’s always next year.
