Middlesbrough Under 13s League(Part 2)

April 13th, 2005 · No Comments

Tigers v Lions

The first match was a tense affair. With players and parents cheering on the sidelines, Middlesbrough Tigers, Captained by Louise (currently of West Middlesbrough RHC), took on Middlesbrough Lions. With both Jody (Lions Captain) and Louise leading through forging runs through the middle, it was end to end stuff. At full time, the result was 0-0. Other results included LIONS 3 – Panthers 1, seeing 2 great flick shots by Josh, scoring off the post both times.

Please see the Middlesbrough RHC page on Talk Roller Hockey for a write up of each match, plus league table (by PM, Wed 6th)

SKATES PURCHASE

Middlesbrough, having applied for and been awarded a grant to purchase Quad Skates for new starters into the club (to be used for subsequent new starters once kids have bought there own), now have 10 pairs of skates to cover the current shortfall. Tony Czifra is working with Wheels Ltd of Manchester to purchase more. “We want every kid who comes along on Thursdays or Saturdays and says ‘can I have a go?’ to be able to put on Quads, and go from there” said Tony. |Anyone wishing to donate secondhand skates or equipment to our club would be much appreciated! Can collect!” said Tony.
