PLEASE NOTE BELOW A TYPED COPY OF the DIRECTIVE RECEIVED
BY THE PRESIDENT WITH REGARDS TO THE FOLLOWING: these
are exact transcript copies.
a) PROCEEDINGS ON THE RINK:
b) ARTICLE 59: THE GOALKEEPERS ACTION IN THE GAME:
A) PROCEEDINGS ON THE RINK:
As no regulations exist on the following issues, it was decided,
after hearing the CIRH – Comite International -, to act according
to previous practice, until proper regulation on this matter is
included in the official rules of the game.
1) ASSISTANCE TO PLAYERS ON THE RINK:
When the referees authorise assistance to injured players during
the game, they should not interfere nor forbid that the
remaining players approach the reserves bench
In case a player who was assisted recovers and is in a
condition to remain on the rink, the referees should not force or
oblige this player to leave the rink and be replaced by another.
During a stoppage in play, for whatever reason, the
referees will not interfere with the players’ decision to approach
their respective bench.
In these cases the referees should proceed according to
article 65 of the rules of the game.
2) REGULATIONS
It has bee common practice in events organised by the CIRH –
Comite International – and also more recently in events
organised by CERH, to act contrary to what is set out above. It
has been decided to act according to the procedures described
under 1) until specific rules on this issue be presented and
approved in the next CIRH General Assembly, to be included in
the rules of the game.
NRHA NOTICE:
This change, PROCEEDINGS ON THE RINK, is to be applied to our
game, in all categories, as of 1st March 2005
