The NRHA are pleased to announce that a Training Course for referees of all grades will be held over the weekend of 7th & 8th May. The course will be run by JORGE PAULETTA, Referee Trainer to all Portuguese referees.
The venue will be Bushfields LC in Peterborough and the course will be run in conjunction with the National training days. The course will run on Saturday from 12noon until 6.00pm and continue on Sunday from 10.00 until 1.00pm.
There will be no charge to attend the course and it is open to all referees, those accredited for National Leagues, regional, beginners and also those who are just considering taking up refereeing.
Referees attending, who are currently accredited for Nat League games (see list) will receive 5 pounds towards travelling costs. As this will obviously not cover the costs the NRHA suggest car sharing should be organised wherever possible. Payment will be made after the event when a register has been completed. A further payment of 10 pounds will be made to those travelling from the Northern and Southern regions for assistance with the overnight accommodation that will be necessary. The Referees Officer believes that this is the 1st occasion that any assistance with the costs of attending a Referees course has beem made and will be given on receipt of payment proof of accommodation.
Current non-accredited referees will be given accreditation at their current grade for attendance and hence will be avilable for nat league events.
