This was the first match in which the Catalans broke into a sweat, their goalkeeper saw some action and they decided to give their 1st five a second period on the rink.
England had an excellent start for 6 minutes before the professionals wore us down and we gave too much respect in our penalty area. It was 7-0 at half-time and 11-0 after the full 40 minutes.
After the match the Catalunya Coach considered that his team had worked hard enough not to have to run back to their hotel to dissipate their excess energy (the 1st time in the competition)!

As this was the last game in the morning session the NZ team (playing 1st in evening session)took to the floor with mops and buckets to try and clear off the dust, something the local organisation hasn’t quite grasped – so perhaps tonight there will be some grip for the skaters to perform.
