The Portuguese National Team apparently give the impression of having a different agenda to all the other teams in the competition.
Manager Ron Barker said he and Carlos were pleased with how our players had behaved under severe provocation. There were no complaints about any player’s performance in what could only be described as an unpleasant match experience.
Mark Waddingham sustained a hand injury and Brendan Barker a cut head in the match.
The intention of the Portuguese was obviously to get ahead of the Italians in the goal scoring competition but they will go into their match against them tomorrow level on goals.
The Spanish along with everyone else are desperately seeking wheels that will keep them upright on the rink and their 1 – 1 draw with Holland was the big news of the day.
