This year we have nine teams entered.
This presents a problem with the programme.
We could do either of the following unless anybody else has
another suggestion.
1. Put the 9 teams in to 3 pools of 3.
Phase 1 – Each team in each pool would play the other
teams in its pool. 2 games
each and a total of 9 games on the day.
Phase 2 – The winning teams of each pool play-off for
positions 1, 2 and 3.
The second placed teams of each pool play-off for
positions 4, 5 and 6.
The third placed teams in each pool play-off for
positions 7, 8 and 9.
This would give each team 4 games over the weekend.
Each game could be either 2 x 15 or 20 minutes running clock.
2. Play a 9 team round robin, where every team plays each
other once.
This would mean that the games would have to be
restricted to 2 x 10 minute halves
with a 5-minute half time and a 5-minute turn around
between each game.
It would take 18 hours to complete and provide 8 games
for each team over the 2
days.
What is your preference?
If phase 1 is the chosen option the draw for the pools could be
done on the day with all teams present, having already sorted a
programme of games.
If phase 2 is the chosen preference then the programme can be
worked to suit those with the furthest to travel.
Please let me know as soon as possible so that I can get all the
details finalised and out to you.
