U13 SECRHA League – Final round

Herne Bay United achieved a clean sweep, no losses and no draws throughout the entire season. Twenty games played, twenty games won, goal difference +171. Sadly their league season ended on a low note, with their captain Myles Bandian taken to hospital with a suspected broken arm – not from Roller Hockey, but when trying out the ramps at the skate park outside Farnham Leisure Centre. We wish him a speedy recovery.

There was still plenty to play for amongst the other teams. Farnham needed to win all matches to take second place from Plymouth. In spite of a promising start, piling on the goals against Lipson and Reading, Farnham lost to HBU, to give Plymouth second place on goal difference.

Reading are a rapidly improving team, losing their final game of the season to Lipson by a single goal. Both Reading and Lipson are teams for the future. Lipson, in particular, play well as individuals and as team, perhaps overawed by the physical size of some of the opposition.

A big thank you to all those who organised and took part in the league this year.
