Sunday 23rd Feb – Reading

Round two of the SECRHA Minors saw Reading enter the fray for the first time. Occasionally overwhelmed by the occasion and power of the opposition, a very young team never gave up, and never lost the desire to challenge for everything. Congratulations to Lara Hancock, who became the team’s first tournament goal scorer, followed by James and Toby Parrot. A special mention is also due to goalkeeper reuben Alam, who worked as hard as anyone to keep the opposition at bay. There were some nice touches from this very young team, and with at least two more seasons as minors, Reading is a team on the way up.
