NRHA Celebrates 100 Years starting with a Centenary Tournament!!!

The National Roller Hockey Association of England is
celebrating its 100th birthday in 2004 and as part of our
year of celebrating our history the NRHA are staging an
International Centenary Tournament.at the Herne Bay Peir
over the Easter weekend.– 10/11/12th April.

There will be 6 Clubs from Europe and 2 teams from the
England (8 team tournament) and matches will be held over
4 sessions -Sat Evening, Sunday Morning, Sunday Evening
and Monday till 3.00pm.

Roger Pout, the NRHA’s official historian, will be mounting
an exhibition displaying the history of the Association and
Roller Hockey over the weekend.

“It is an expensive enterprise and although the NRHA, the
CIRH & the CERH have pledged some funds there is still a
need for more assistance and spectators of course” said
organiser Aileen Barker.

“The Organising Committee have already received some
offers of sponsorship from local business and now we are
asking the Clubs and supporters of Roller Hockey to come
on board in some way.”

“Club/Sponsors banners at Rinkside will cost as little as £40
for the weekend and there are16 matches to be sponsored
at £30 a game (the Final has already gone!)”

Tickets for the weekend will be Adults – £4 per session or
£12 for the whole weekend. Children – £2.50 per session or
£8 the weekend. With a set of ADULT Tickets purchased on
or before 3rd April being just £10!
