Sunday 6th December – The Pier,Herne Bay. Herne Bay United started the first round of the SECRHA Minors League where they left off at the Farnham Minors trophy. Four played, four won. They didn’t concede a goal until their third game, finishing with 32 goals for and 4 against. Second place is currently being contested by Plymouth and Farnham. Fitting perhaps that their match should be a 5-5 draw. Let’s not forget Lipson (six hour journey from Plymouth) and Herne Bay. These teams introduced several players to tournament games for the first time, and they gave everything.

The next round at Mayflower (Plymouth) on 1st February, and sees Mayflower and Reading enter the fray for the first time.
