December 2nd, 2003 · No Comments

After last weekends round of matches wheich took place at Grimsby, Middlesbrough came out of a number of close matches to once again lead the Elite League and stretch their unbeaten run to 7 games this season.

Middlesbrough beat Manchester and Sheffield by 6 goals to 5 before beating a tiring Grimsby team 12-3 in the final game of the day.

Manchester fell away from the title race as they lost 2 and drew their 3rd game of the day while sheffield had a mixed bag with a 5-2 win over Grimsby, 6-5 loss to Boro and a 7-7 draw with Manchester. The game was marred by a lot of bad feeling between the sides which saw numerous cards dished out including a straight red card to Richard Bell.

Moss Side where unable to attend the tournament due to the flu bug hitting their club so lost all games by a score of 10 goals to nil.

The next Elite tournament is 15/02/04 )start time 10am) at Sheffields Metrodome Rink and gives Sheffield and Manchester a chance to catch Middlesbrough and put a little bit of pressure on them.

Other teams present at that tournament are Sheffield Ladies, Grimsby and Spectrum.
