Following the success of the England Under 20’s at the World Championships in Uruguay, where the team placed 4th, their now off to the European Championships in S.Jodo da Madeira Portugal which starts Monday.
“We have a really good defence that will keep the matches very competitive and the challenge here is to learn as a team how to score well constructed goals against strong opponents” said Coach Kos Galtos.
“The team are ready and really looking forward to this experience to contest some really hard matches.
The European Under 20’s competition is divided into two qualifying groups that are;
Group A – Spain, Switzerland, France, Austria
Group B – Portugal, Italy, England, Germany
Once the group places are decided quarter finals will be played between the groups of 1st Vs 4th and 2nd Vs 3rd to establish the fight for places in the Semi Finals.
