England faced a very strong Chilean team yesterday
going down 0 – 7.

Chile, one of the best 5 nations of the 1980’s, where
just to strong for England. “The lads never really got
going or had the opportunity to convert their chances”
said Steve Taylor “It really is a different ball game in the
‘A’s!”

The highlight for England was a penalty awarded for a
foul in the area on James Taylor, who unfortunately
drove his shot wide of the post.

To stay up in the A Group and gain automatic entry to
San Jose 2005 England must play Andorra, who
recently beat England 5-4 in a close match in Montreux,
at 10:00 today and then win their next match tomorrow
to ensure they do not finish in the bottom three of the
championship.

The challenge now is for England to work together to
raise their team game and meet the challenge of the
next two matches!
