It’s 8.42am pouring with rain (as I did all last night), the
team have arrived at the stadium, refreshed, relaxed &
most importantly injury free!
Yesterdays free day gave the lads the chance to get
away from Hockey, sightseeing around Oporto and
retail therapy at Norte Shopping (one of the largest
shopping centers in Europe).
This mornings 8 – 12 place, match against Chile starts
at 10.00am.

The Chilean team as England are a young one with a
number of Juniors playing. The last time the two
countries played at the World Schoolboy
Championships at Vina del Mar, Chile beat us by 4
goals to 2.
This morning gives the lads the opportunity to turn the
tables! If we lose then we have to win the next 2 games
to stay in the World ‘A’ group and not to have to travel
next year to Shanghai, China to re-qualify.
