England Improve Against Spain

England’s campaign to stay in the A Group of World
Roller Hockey got to a great start last night against
Championship favourite, and arguably the best national
side in the world, Spain with a hard fought 8-0 loss and
proving that the days of England being thrashed by
scores greater then 15-0 are over!

“Against a machine like Spain this result is a fantastic
accomplishment for the team and its management” said
England U20 Coach, Kos Galtos, “ England must have
played a very disciplined defence and successfully
held the ball from some of the best players in the
world.”

“Defence makes or breaks teams in international sport
so this result should be seen by all as a great start by
England on it way to achieving its objective.”

“All the players played extremely well” said England
Trainer, Steve Taylor “This is probably the best result
that the England Seniors have achieved against Spain
for many a year.”

In the other group match yesterday Switzerland beat
Mozambique 2-1, which sets the scene for an
interesting contest this evening when England plays
Switzerland.
