Lipson Roller Hockey Club are pleased to announce
that they have been awarded a grant of £5,100 from the
Local Network Fund . The grant will go towards the
cost of safety barriers, equipment, transport and
training.

Club Secretary Sue Grant, said “We are delighted to
have been awarded this grant and are excited about
commencing the project which will enable the children
to continue playing roller hockey and improving our rink
by providing a safe spectating area. We appreciate the
opportunity that this money will give us, and we now
have the platform to open our doors to more kids by
assisting with providing equipment and funding
minibuses to tournaments.”

The Community Sports Centre at Lipson have
supported the application and kindly given their
permission for the installation of the barriers.

This money will also enable the Club to train volunteers
for minibus driving and upgrade referees and coaches,
which will ensure that the children receive the latest
and safest coaching techniques.
