We were all pleased to finish in 5th place, the highest placing for England Ladies yet. The European Championships are extremely hard with all the top teams in the world competing. It was encouraging to see how close all our matches were. The gap between the Latin countries and the rest is now not so wide and we already have fitness programs in preparation to do some damage in the World Championships next year. Everyone has come on a long way since we started and this tournament has really shown us what we are capable of. We gained a lot of respect from the other teams and have shown we are now a force to reckon with. Well done everyone, dont give up fighting til that medals round yer neck!
After the closing ceremony all the teams went for a meal and a boogie. The French National Mens team were there strutting their stuff on the dance floor. And although we didnt win the competition we definitely won on the dancefloor!
