June 16th, 2003 · No Comments

Maidstone completed a successful weekend of Hockey by taking 2nd place in the Premiership away from Letchworth, who have had a great season, and improved on their final placings (5th) from last year.

Maidstone began their winning weekend at Middlesbrough in a hard fought match resulting in a spate of yellow and blue cards. The Maidstone team ran out eventual winners, 6 goals to 4. Maidstone celebrated that evening with a few quiet beers in the Blue Bell Hotel.

On Sunday, they travelled to Manchester to play at the Arcadia.

A match report is yet to be heard, but Referee Glyn Thomas did report that Maidstone won the game 14-2, giving them 2nd place behind Champions HBU.
