Peter Wimble Veterans Cup 12th & 13th July @ Southsea

June 2nd, 2003 · No Comments

“This years Peter Wimble Cup is going to be huge!” said NRHA Competitions Director Tony Czifra.

“With last seasons cup entrants having had such a great time, includeing; Herne Bay, Southsea, Sheffield, Cambridge, Halifax, Highworth, Guernsey (Runners Up), Nottingham, Houghton Regis and Herne United (Winners), we expect a big turn out this year to”

With every Club in England having been sent an invitation to participate a few weeks ago and serious interest from 3 foreign veterans sides it looks likely that this years event will be even better.

“This year, the exact same rules apply for the ‘tournament basis’ event. You can register on the day to play for a tenner for the weekend (insurance purposes), and player already registered can play for free.” Tony told PRH.

“We want to see as many old faces out there having a great time as possible and to help teams can be made up of players from any club.”

“The only player restrictions are, you have to be 38 or over, on the day of the event and keepers of any age can play, except if they have played for England at any level in the last 3 years.”

If you know a ‘Veteran” please let them know this is going on and as Tony says “Lets Play Roller Hockey!!!!”
