Sheffield finished their season on a high, beating both their local Premiership rivals in the Cup and League respectively.

National Cup
Wildcats booked their place in the next round of the National Cup, by beating Middlesbrough 5-4.
The match was drawn at 3-3 at full time, and remained so after 10 minutes extra time.
Sheffield pipped Boro to the next round with a goal from Wildcats Captain Derek Bell to take the lead, only for Boro Captain Derrick Smith to level for Boro’. At 1 goal each, the last penalty before the ’sudden death’ penalty stage was taken by Emerson Montgomery, who finished in style past England Senior Keeper, Ian Smith.
Premier League
Sheffield Wildcats finished there Premier League account this weekend with a win over local Derby rivals, Manchester.
Manchester, again without influential Steve McCann and Craig Mannifield, brought a side dominated by youth, complemented by experience in the 2 Marks (Colton and Innis).
Manchester went 2 goals up witin 7 minutes through excellently taken volleyed goals from Veteran Dave Eden and Mark Innis, only for Derek Bell and Richard Bell to score consequetively to draw level, with only 7.04 minutes gone.
Further Wildcats determination resulting in goals by Richard Bell, Derek Bell and David Beard, despite a fightback by Manchester with goals from Mark Innis and promising youngster Chris Pearson. Sheffield having the lead going into the break.
In the second half, tensions bolied over, with a fracas involving both Manchester and Sheffield Players, resulting in a spate of cards being issued, including one for the Manchester Coach. The game calmed down, and Sheffield dominated with control of the ball in the Manchester half.
Ciaron Condron got on the scoresheet for Manchester, 2 further goals from Derek Bell, and a well taken solo goal from Emerson Montgomery were enough to see of Manchester, and give Sheffield there 2nd win of the season.
