League Entries – 2003/4

May 24th, 2003 · No Comments

As there is currently no relegation/promotion system for team moving between divisions, the NRHA will in June be offering all Clubs/Interested Parties the opportunity to REGISTER THEIR TEAMS for a place in the following Leagues.

National Premier League:

This is a league based on a ‘home & away’ format, where teams travel or host 1 match against top class opposition from around the UK.

NRHA National Division One :

This is a league based on a ‘tournament’ format, where teams will usually play 3 matches in one day. Dependant on the number of entries into this league, it may become ND1 & ND2.

NRHA Veterans League :

This is also a league based on a ‘tournament’ format, where teams will play between 3 or 4 matches in one day. The 2002/3 season saw Club sides only in this league, but subject to agreement, Clubs AND REGIONS will be given the opportunity to field a team in this league, with strict requirements on ‘pre-named’ squads to ensure a MINIMUM number of players ARE actually available to play.

This will avoid problems of any teams pulling out of the league, or struggling to fulfil fixtures as has happened this season for Veterans.

National Leagues based on Inter-Regional competition (Ladies, Juniors, Schoolboys, Intermediates & Minors) will be as per the 2002/3 season, but with better scheduling of matches to avoid clashes.

If you are interested in entering a team in any of these leagues, contact Tony Czifra on 0709 239 6339 or aileen Barker (General Secretary NRHA).
