May 14th, 2003 · No Comments

The NCRHA, in conjunction with the England U17’s & 20’s, is inviting Referees and those interested in becoming a referee from the North to attend a course being facilitated by NRHA President and Chair of Officials, Glyn Thomas, on Saturday 31 May at the Immingham Sport Centre.

NCRHA Chair of Officials, Mike Richardson, told PRH “I was sick of waiting for someone else to organise something for new referees so we organised this opportunity for people to learn”.

“The programme starts at 9.00a.m. promptly, with referees entering a classroom environment, followed at 11.00a.m. with practical testing during matches played between the England U17’s and 20’s, followed at 1.45p.m. with referees back to the class room to evaluate what has been learnt (course concludes at 3.45p.m.).”

“This is a great hands on opportunity for people to learn to be better referees” said NRHA Competitions Director, Tony Czifra, “I hope people take the opportunity to help the sport and get involved in its improvement.”

“If we can get sufficient attendance, next season the NRHA will seek to help all its Regions to organise entry level courses for new referees” said Tony.

The course is FREE for all registered and new referees and people interested in attending should contact Glynn Thomas ASAP to register.
