“The National League for Under 17’s is proving to be one of the most competitive for years” said England coach, Kos Galtos.

“With no one team being dominant and a greatly increased competitive spirit amongst the players, the matches are a real pleasure to watch!” said Kos, “If this keeps up I truly believe England are on the way to not only having a worthwhile national competition but also a real chance of climbing up the international rankings for years to come”

Recent tournaments in all Junior grades are proving popular amongst the players who seem to be enjoying the challenge of different opponents in a fiercely competitive environment.

“I am really impressed at how professionally the players are taking all this” Kos told PRH, “They are generally playing a thinking, disciplined style of hockey that is really entertaining!”

Junior matches have also seen a marked decrease in fouls committed which has resulted in very free flowing hockey and limited intervention by referees.
