With 3 tournaments left, the national U15’s Championship may be a little clearer by 7pm on Saturday night. Currently, the Northwest team (mainly with players from Manchester, and surprise package Moss-Side) sit at the top of the league, ahead on Goal Difference from their regional cousins, the North East. “It’s going to be a long hard season” said Stewart Henderson, Team Manager of the North Easterners. The Southeast team, having missed the first event will be looking to make a quick and decisive impact too. As the NE & NW squads are not scheduled to play @ this event, the League leaders may change, by 7pm on Saturday. The action starts at 12.30pm @ The Lipson Sports Centre, Plymouth. Meanwhile, Paul Wilks, President of the South Region was busy last night making calls to try to ressurect the SE 2nd team. “There does not seme to be a shortage of players” said Paul, “It’s just we can’t seem to get an adult to take on the role of managing and organising them!” Anyone from the S.East who would be interested in taking on this role, to give some boys and girls in the South East the opportunity of playing against the BEST in England – and therefore be eligible to PLAY FOR ENGLAND – should contact Paul Willks asap (see ‘contacts’ above). All results will be uploaded to PRH by 10pm on Saturday – so watch this space!
