Managers Thanks

January 18th, 2003 · No Comments

On Sat. 4th. Jan. the selection process for the Northern Counties (East) squads began at the Rainbow Centre Middlesbrough. It proved to be a great success for all age groups which is a tribute to the commitment and dedication of the players and their parents bearing in mind that this years extensive playing schedule is all to be self funding.
As the manager of the minors squad I would like to express my gratitude to a number of people for their assistance which enabled the minors selection session to run smoothly and efficiently on the day. First of all thanks to Ty Drinkwater who’s expertise was enlisted to create the format for the session and thanks to Dave Fothergill for his help with the outplayers. Thanks also go to England goalkeepers Ian Smith and Gareth Cook for putting the keepers through their paces and finally a big thanks to all the players and their parents for travelling through such inclement weather to attend the session.

I would also like to take this opportunity on behalf of all the squad to wish
David Sims a speedy recovery from his injury and hope to see him back playing with us shortly.
Players will be notified of any further squad sessions and players required in due course.
Thanks again for all your efforts.
Ray Stewart (NCRHA – Minors Manager).
