With the re-birth of National Division 1, with 10 teams taking part in tournament based hockey, it is now in doubt as to whether the NRHA will be
able to hold a National League Competition for VETERANS (Over 38’s) this season.

Tony Czifra said “after a very successful Peter Wimble Vets Cup last year, the teams were keen to compete in a National League, but with the rebirth of ND1, this keeness is in question”.

“We are investigating” was all PRH was able to get from Tony, but PRH can stress that if you are a VET and want to play National Hockey, you can contact Tony on a.czifra@ntlworld.com or Dave Walters at Herne Bay, who are between them, looking to get this league up and running from Jan 2003.
