The England Schoolboy team to contest the European Championship next week in St. Omer, France, was announced today and includes Kris Pay (Cpt), Michael Abelson (V.Cpt, Paul Manford, Kristan Oaten, Christopher Haw, Graeme Stewart, Charlie Steadman, Christopher Reynolds, Mathew Conroy, Chris Duggan, Kos Galtos – Coach and Gordon Morrision – Administrator.

“The squad training and selection started back in February with the viewing of 96 players around the country, and I guarantee that these boys are the best team that we have to offer and that every player has worked hard and improved to earn their place. The players can rightfully be proud of their accomplishment!” said Coach Kos Galtos.

“England has received tremendous support from Middlesbrough and Manchester Clubs and as a result of hard training and regular trial matches with Premier League sides our players have gained valuable experience that has made a strong team with a very strong and ‘deep’ bench”.

“The only sad thing is the late injury of our principal goalkeeper Gareth Cook, who has had to be replaced by Club mate Chris Duggan, as last week he suffered a fracture of his collarbone in a freak shooting accident at Middlesbrough training. The whole team wishes him well for a speedy recovery.”

European Championship results will be updated daily on the PRH competitions page and photos of the team are in the gallery.
