England’s only goal was scored after a strong offensive period of team play which eventuated in a penalty awarded inside the area that was cooly converted by Captain James Taylor.

England were heavily supported through out the match by the crowd and over 20 traveling fans who watched the from the edge of their seats and shared in the teams jubilation on the final whistle for a job well done by a young side with a very bright future.

By all reports the entire team played exceptionally well, and were lead by the outstanding effort of Goalkeeper Ian Morrison, who clearly demonstrated the skills he has developed from hard work and experience in the Spanish professional leagues.

French supporters and players where devastated by the result which gives them 1 point with 2 matches (Italy and Germany) to go, with England on 3 points with 1 match to go (Portugal) that could result in a draw between the sides for 5th place that would be decided on goal difference.
