NRHA Announces Season 2002/3

August 12th, 2002 · No Comments

The National Roller Hockey Association of England last night announced the National Leagues and Calendar for season 2002/3.

“This season looks like being one of the most competitive and widely contested seasons for years” said National Competitions Director, Tony Czifra yesterday. “We’ll be running National competitions for Veterans, Senior Premier & Division 1, Ladies, Junior, Youth, Intermediate and Minors. That’s 8 leagues! More than any season for a long time!!”

“I’m particularly excited that we’ll be running National Ladies, Veterans, and Senior Div 1 Leagues this season, as well as continuing the Junior League introduced last season.”

“The NRHA is also trying harder to recognise the effort and tremendous performances of the players in the National Leagues and awards will be made for ‘Highest Goal Scorer’, ‘Best Defender’, ‘Best Goal Keeper’ and ‘Best Team Player’ in each league”.

This season should also see less fixture clashes with Regional Competitions then in previous seasons as the National Calendar was developed in consultation with Regional Competitions Secretaries.

“As Cllubs and Regions involved in the leagues confirm home venues and timings the fixtures lists on PlayRollerHockey.net will be updated to ensure that everyone is reliably informed throughout the season.” Tony said.

Good luck from PRH in the National Leagues!!
